Job Description
A Material Review Board Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Covington, GA. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and experience in Material Review Board substantiation for on Boeing aircraft products. In this job your primary responsibility will be reviewing nonconforming conditions and determining acceptability and/or repairability. You will be expected to train and mentor other engineers and facilitate timely MRB certification for yourself and others on the team.
Job Duties:
- Assist in developing MRB procedures and systems required to support an FAA certified vehicle and manufacturing line.
- Assist in the development of standard processes, standard repairs and documentation for the MRB department.
- Work within a team of multi-functional engineers from airframe, systems and power train disciplines to investigate reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment or systems to determine the nature and scope of the problem and evaluate the findings to formulate correction action plans and coordinate implementation of these plans.
- Manage timely and efficient engineering support for production related MRB activities and Change Request received from Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain.
- Evaluate nonconformance data and perform root cause analysis to determine the appropriate corrective action response for recurring nonconformance issues.
- Ensure design changes, solutions, repairs and alterations provide high customer value and meet certifications requirements of the FAA Type Design, Production Certificate and design intent.
- Coordinate with many other areas of the company and outside vendors to incorporate design changes.
- Mentor Junior MRB engineers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Develop relationships with customer operations, quality and engineering teams.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
- 11+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry
- 8+ Years of MRB Engineer Experience
- Technical process and documentation development experience
- Structure or Electrical production support experience utilizing 3D Geometry
- Excellent Organizational and communication skills
- Ability to understand, apply and implement concepts and lean tools to the company production system for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- MRB Experience on Composite Aerostructure Programs like the Boeing 787
- FAR 23 Experience
- Part 21 Experience
- Working under an FAA Production Certificate
- Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $120,0000 to $130,000.
